laptoplendingpicThe ELITE Graduate Program is pleased to provide laptop computers for loan to ELITE Graduate Students and Cohort Members for short-term use.

Purpose: The purpose of this program is to provide laptop computers for loan to registered ELITE Students for academic related use. The laptops were purchased with TITLE-V funds from the Department of Education. ELITE Graduate Students and Cohort Members may check out a laptop computer from the Library Media Center or from the ELITE Suite.

Eligibility: Any current ELITE Graduate Students and Cohort Members are eligible to borrow a computer under this program. To apply for eligibility, please click here...>>

Loan Duration: There are two laptop checkout programs offered:

  1. Library Laptop Lending: Daily
  2. ELITE Suite Laptop Lending: Up to 7 days

Restrictions: All use of the computer must be for a specified Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi related activity. The computer may not be loaned to another party, but must be for the use of the person to whom it is checked out.

laptoplendingpictureELITE Graduate Programs with the Mary & Jeff Bell Library has established a Laptop Lending Program exclusively for graduate students. The program will serve to enhance the Library Laptop Lending Program by providing a full cart of laptops (36 pc’s) for borrowing exclusively by graduate students at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The laptops, available for check-out and use in the Mary & Jeff Bell Library, feature programs such as SPSS, and EndNote to meet the special needs graduate students doing research here at TAMU-CC.

Laptops are available for check out at the Media Laptop Center for three hour time slots for use in the public areas of the library. Other rules and guidelines include:

  • No Laptops will be checked out after 5:00 p.m.
  • All laptops must be returned to the Laptop Center by 6:00 p.m.
  • Laptops that are returned late are subject to a $15.00 per hour fine. All fines may be paid at the Library's main Circulation Desk on the first floor. Students accruing $15.00 or more in library fines are unable to borrow additional materials until fines are paid.
  • Headphones are also available for check out with a laptop.
  • All laptops are wireless and have the ability to search the Internet and print from anywhere in the library. The laptop printer is located in the Media Laptop Center. All printouts not retrieved are recycled after 4 hours.
