Three important characteristics of students who are given first priority in receiving fellowship funding:
1.) Must be an ELITE Cohort Member
2.) First time fellowship recipient – this is important to keep in mind. Students who have received fellowships in the past automatically are placed on a waiting list. Often times, there is very little funding left over for students who are on the waiting list.
3.) If the student already has a job on campus, they must be working at less than 50% effort or less than 20 hours each week.
