No Comments »May 16th, 2012I’m Suraida Nanez-James and i have a very exciting job as the Education Program Manager for the Gulf of Mexico Foundation.
We have had some last minute openings on our 5-day summer Intracoastal Waterway Wetlands Expedition set to launch June 10 through June 15.
We will accept educators, undergraduate & graduate students, photography students, and media students. We would love to have you join us.
The cost is only $100 for ALL 5 days (includes food, lodging, materials, kayaking, etc.) plus your own transportation to Freeport, TX.

JOB: Accounting Students Needed!
No Comments »April 26th, 2012The Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center is looking for an ELITE Graduate fellowship student in accounting. We have clients in various industries ranging from manufacturing to medical research to green energy. This position will expose accounting students to a wide array of accounting and business issues across several industry sectors.
Accounting students should have a basic understanding of financial and managerial accounting. They will prepare and review pro-forma financial statements, budgets, and reports. Students also need a strong business background, and may be asked to do research in general business, marketing, or finance. Students should also be comfortable with creating reports and business writing.
Other questions in specific areas, such as cost accounting, not-for-profit accounting, or tax issues may come up occasionally. Other assignments may be assigned within the area of expertise. New students will work alongside other accounting students at the Innovation Center and will receive guidance and assistance in projects.
Students should be an accounting major and have taken/be taking Intermediate Accounting II, OR be a Masters of Accountancy student who has completed a minimum of 6 credit hours in accounting. Scheduling is flexible. The Innovation Center is located off campus in the Flour Bluff area.
