About the Tutor:
After many years of working in a rewarding career in the business community, one of my goals is to work in the field of education. Having recently graduated with a Doctor of Education Degree, I am now ready to begin my second career.

My educational philosophy is based on a set of fundamental concepts about teaching and learning. I believe all students can learn when given the proper assistance. A few students do not require any supplemental instruction, but most do. Learning is a personal matter that depends on students’ assumption of responsibility and engagement. My approach is to reinforce the professor’s teaching points, by reviewing assignments and answering student questions.

During my recent studies, I offered academic tutoring to my peers. All students who accepted my assistance were able to successfully complete all course requirements. The key to our success was an academic setting that encouraged and strengthened student learning experience allowing them to avoid falling behind. I bring a depth of experience, wisdom, personal vision, and energy to any endeavor I undertake. I stay current in the field, for which I accept an assignment in.

Prior to earning my doctorate, I earned the following degrees: BS in Mathematics, MBA in Business Administration, MS in Computer Science.

I am knowledgeable in completing qualitative dissertations and class assignments, as well as inductively driven mixed methods dissertations and action research projects. During my own doctoral studies, I invested many hours gaining a greater understanding of qualitative inquiry and helping my fellow students. Since my graduation, I have continued to develop that understanding and spend additional hours helping current students succeed in their endeavors.

My educational credentials include a BA in English, an MA in Educational Technology, and an EdD in Educational Leadership – Higher Education. Writing Consultant

ELITE Graduate Programs is pleased to offer its Cohort members the services of a writing consultant to assist with graduate level research papers, thesis, dissertation work, and other writing assignments. Whether you’re struggling with writers block, grammar, flow, or discipline specific guidelines, or simply want another set of eyes to review your work, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity!

The writing consultant, Ms. Chelsea Perez, working out of the Writing Center in the CASA building, is available to cohort members for hour long appointments. Cohort members can also schedule standing appointments with Ms. Perez. Please note that missing more than 3 standing appointments will result in losing the ability to schedule these meetings.

Ms. Perez is also available to work with non-cohort members, assisting them with graduate level, thesis, dissertation, and other writing assignments for standard 30 minute appointments. Other qualified consultants are also available to meet with non-cohort members if Ms. Perez is unavailable or if scheduling conflicts arise.

All students are asked to bring their rubric or writing criteria for the assignment they are working on.  It may also be helpful to bring your course syllabus.

To schedule an appointment contact Noelle Ballmer at noelle.ballmer@tamucc.edu.
